ASH WEDNESDAY SCHEDULE
Ash Wednesday is
March 1st. Mass will be celebrated at 6:15 am, 8:15 am, 12:00 pm, 5:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. Ashes will be distributed during Mass.
ASH WEDNESDAY SPECIAL COLLECTION
A special collection will be taken up on
Wednesday, March 1st to support the Catholic Church in Central and Eastern Europe.
2017 LENTEN SCHEDULE
Confessions will be heard on each Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6pm in addition to our regular confession schedule of Saturdays 3:30-4:30 and 20 minutes before each Sunday Mass.
Stations of the Cross will be held on Fridays at 5:30pm.
Divine Mercy Chaplet following 8:15am Mass on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 2:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Lenten regulations regarding fast and abstinence are as follows: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence. All Fridays in Lent are days of abstinence only. Church law binds as follows:
- The Law of Abstinence (not eating meat) obliges those who have completed their 14th year.
- The Law of Fast (only one full meal each day, nothing between meals) obliges those who have completed their 18th year until the beginning of their 60th year.
