Parental Choice in K-12 Education: A Straightforward Matter of Justice: a presentation by John Schoenig from Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education will be held on Thursday, January 23rd from 7-8:30 pm in the Clunan Center.
Every parent as a matter of social justice should have the opportunity to choose the best education for their child. Tennessee state lawmakers and Gov. Haslam have been working hard on developing a parental choice program for Tennessee. We hope that a parental choice bill could pass this year. The question for us is: will we do whatever it takes to ensure that every child, regardless of color, creed, or socioeconomic status, has equal access to an outstanding education?
Participating in the Q & A session will be State Senator Brian Kelsey, State Representative John DeBerry and Michael Benjamin, Director of Grassroots Advocacy for the American Federation for Children. Please come join in the discussion and learn more about this most important issue.
