Bible Study Groups
Young Mother’s Bible Study, Men’s Bible Study, Seniors’ Bible Study, other Weekly or seasonal Bible Studies open to all.
A variety of Bible Study programs are offered throughout the year. Parishioners may become involved either by joining one of the existing groups or by offering to start a new group.
Liturgy of the Word for Children
At the 10:30 am Mass each Sunday, after a blessing by the presiding priest, children ages kindergarten through 3rd grade are invited to go as a group to classrooms in the school to learn about the Sunday readings on their age level. Adult volunteers are needed to lead these groups.
Parish Religious Education Program
On Sunday mornings, children in grades 1 - 8 who do not attend Catholic schools meet for instruction in Catholic doctrine, scripture, traditions, and sacramental preparation. Many volunteers are needed to implement this program.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
R.C.I.A. is the acronym for “Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults,” or Catechumenate, the process through which
non-Catholic adults explore the possibility of becoming Catholic. Volunteers are needed to serve as spiritual companions and sponsors for R.C.I.A. participants.
Sunday School
Each Sunday during the 10:30 am Mass, children ages 3 through kindergarten are invited to a special “Sunday School” of religion taught by parish volunteers.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer St. Louis offers Vacation Bible School for children up to 6th grade. Many volunteers are needed to teach, lead music, and organize other activities.
Vocations Committee
The Vocations Committee is an arm of the Parish Pastoral Council designed to promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life. The Committee meets regularly and sponsors activities both within and outside the parish.
